Why We Care

Church Planting Partners is a gospel-centered non-profit organization partnering in the gospel for healthy church planting and healthy servant leaders.

We need healthier churches that give hope and guidance to our communities. Healthy churches begin with healthy pastors, leadership teams, and disciples. Stress, loneliness, politics, and the negative effect on a pastor’s family lead to burnout, immorality, and quitting the ministry. After dedicating their lives to Christ’s service, 46% of pastors under 45 years old considered leaving the ministry in the past year, according to a recent Barna survey. Over 65% of pastors are not healthy in six well-being categories (spiritual, emotional, mental, relational, financial, and physical). The Apostle Paul describes his ministry pressure, “we were burdened excessively, beyond our strength, so that we despaired even to live” (2 Cor. 1:8). CPP endeavors to keep younger leaders encouraged and in their ministry roles because it is crucial to the next decade of congregational vitality in the U.S.

But where is it safe for ministry leaders to process their challenges?

Pastors and families must not be sheep without a shepherd; they can’t get guidance if they suffer in isolation. Those in spiritual and emotional upheaval need an experienced shepherd who is compassionate, confidential, and helpful. CPP provides this compassionate coaching to the ministry leader and church at no cost.

Ministry leaders need comfort and compassion in their trauma (2 Cor. 1:3-5, 8-11). But they also need gospel coaching to address the changes necessary to achieve and sustain healthy relationships and rhythms. CPP examines eight areas of a servant-leaders life and engages in a plan to become a healthier servant leader.

In addition to the free, compassionate coaching for over-burdened pastors, Church Planting Partners specializes in church planters and church-planting churches. We offer the following donation-based services: 1) Personalized church planter assessment, 2) Church consultation to churches desiring planting, 3) One on One Gospel Coaching, 4) Gospel Coach Certification, 5) Gospel Shaped Leader Seminar, 6) Church Planting School (9-month cohort), 7) Itinerant Preaching and Teaching, 8) Launching Plant TN, a collaborative fellowship to inspire every church in Tennessee to be healthy, gospel-centered, and multiplying.
